Relationship Anarchy, Deconstruction of Identity and "Romance" as a kinky practice

The term relationship anarchy was coined and described by Swedish journalist Andie Nordgren.

The concept differs from polyamory or open relationships mainly in that there is no hierarchy between different relationships, for example between sexual, emotional or friendship relationships.

Friendships and love relationships are not exclusive and each relationship is dealt with individually, not according to a predetermined scheme.

Felix Ruckert establishes connections between this concept and her research on the deconstruction of identity through somatic practices, which aims at gender deconstruction, the multiplication of personality and extension of individual expression.

She thus propagates the abandonment of “authenticity” and a greater flexibility and variety in the production of relationship possibilities through a practice of different perception of Self.

Felix nevertheless does not reject “romantic love”, but considers it a popular “fetish” to be freed from drama and violence and celebrated as a passion.
